Tom Cruise has many handsome facial features – and of course one could argue that he has made his living on his existing appearance, so there is no reason to mess with it. And I agree. But when I was asked what – if anything – I would recommend for him, I was forced to look at him in a different light. And I do have two suggestions:
- Brow lift (forehead lift): Take a look at how low his brows are – virtually crowding out his upper lids and making him appear tired and worn. And this is something that a browlift – not an eyelid tuck – will fix. A brow lift is ideal for someone like Tom, as it will rejuvenate him, fix his hooding, and restore a more rested and youthful look – all without making him look like a different person. A brow lift has more of an impact on creating a restful appearance than any other procedure – even moreso than the eyelids and facelift in many patients. Furthermore, in Tom’s case, he has heavy hooding over his eyes. You (or he) could even look upon this as an inevitable operation for any aging star, because it pretty much is. And at the age of 50, Tom is no exception.
- Rhinoplasty (nose job): Ok, ok, ok…..those of you who have followed my blogs on MJ are probably thinking that after his horrific results, every star should rightly be more than a little gun-shy about rhinoplasty. Not so. What they need to be concerned about is beating the nose to death with rhinoplasty upon rhinoplasty. In Tom’s case, a simple rhinoplasty could – in a very subtle way – decrease the beak-like projection of his nose and give him a more attractive profile. Many of you would argue that he has become so successful with his existing nose, and a rhinoplasty would indeed change his appearance, so this sort of change would be a mistake. Again, I agree. But I also disagree. Awhile back, I first noticed Tom’s beak-like nose on profile. Ever since then, I have also noticed that he rarely is shown in profile in his movies and in photos released by his own people. In fact, the few times that we see his profile are on photos taken by the paparazzi. So, a subtle reduction of his nasal projection could open up more flexibility with regard to filming angles when he is making movies. This does not have to be a big change. In fact a subtle rhinoplasty is really all that I would recommend.
Of course, no matter what Tom does or does not do, he is a handsome man. But, those are my thoughts …take me or leave em. And please do chime in with your own thoughts.
